About Aaron Burke

I’m just one guy on the internet who’s come about this knowledge of prepaid phone plans from various sources and become empassioned enough about it that I feel like it should be shared with everyone in one easy to find place. It is my goal to provide you with the information and the tools you need to make an informed decision in the easiest way possible. IF you find my information helpful and you make the switch to a prepaid phone plan, I do have referral links which throw a monetary kickback in my direction if you sign up, and I’d appreciate if you use them – but if you don’t, that’s fine too. My goal is education, not monetization. There are no lies, no marketing spin, no abstractions of the truth, and no fine print to be found here.

IT’S ALIVE! The Nexus 4 is back in stock in the Google Play Store!

No, it’s not April Fool’s Day. I checked. At long last, after many delays and finger-pointing, you can once again pick up the 8 GB Nexus 4 for $299, or the 16 GB Nexus 4 for $349 from the Google Play Store. I just picked … Continue reading

T-Mobile just won’t stop increasing their per-dollar value, and that’s okay with me. Set to launch on January 28th, T-Mobile’s $50 Monthly4G rate plan will increase its data allotment from a meager 100 MB to much more useful 500 MB. … Continue reading

T-Mobile has now successfully completed their refarming efforts in 46 total metro markets. Their last network modernization announcement was a massive year-end push and left 2012 with excellent progress. This year’s first announcement isn’t quite as expansive, but it still brings us one … Continue reading

Device subsidies: Verizon and AT&T have their eye on you

The absence of device subsidies is typically the largest deterrent to switching to prepaid service, but it’s also why it’s a cheaper option. As I’ve explained before, device subsidies are bad. They cheapen the view of our expensive high-tech devices and … Continue reading

T-Mobile doesn’t carry the iPhone yet, but 1.9M iPhones say otherwise

This is an interesting metric noted by David Beren of TmoNews. During a telecommunications conference in Las Vegas yesterday, T-Mobile CEO John Legere mentioned the company currently serves 1.9 million iPhones, with an additional 100K devices added every month. That … Continue reading

T-Mobile’s Monthly4G “unlimited” data now TRULY unlimited!

I’ll admit it: As a blogger, I’m tired of putting quotes around “unlimited” in many of my articles, combining it with an asterisk and a footnote, or a set of exclusions in parentheses. “Unlimited” is not the same as unlimited. … Continue reading
